Maddie – Hospital Operations Team Advocate

Maddie grew up in Palmdale, California before making Idaho home. Although she originally planned to pursue a career in human medicine, everything changed after accepting a position in reception at a small animal veterinary hospital while attending college. Growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and even a tortoise, she had always loved animals, but it wasn’t until she stepped into veterinary medicine that she discovered where she truly belonged.

When her family relocated to Boise, Maddie eagerly joined Habitat Veterinary Hospital as a receptionist and quickly became known for her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine passion for both people and pets. Over the years, she has grown through a variety of roles, including reception, patient care, leadership, and administrative responsibilities. Today, she serves as a member of Habitat’s leadership team, where she enjoys mentoring teammates, strengthening the client experience, and helping cultivate the supportive culture that defines Habitat.

Having worked in multiple areas of the hospital, Maddie understands firsthand how every member of the team contributes to exceptional patient care and an outstanding client experience. She loves the fast pace of veterinary medicine and appreciates that every day brings new opportunities to learn, solve problems, and make a meaningful difference for pets and the families who love them.

Outside of the hospital, Maddie enjoys spending time with her husband, Nolan, and their two sons. Whether she’s crocheting, scrapbooking, or exploring Idaho with her family, she values creating meaningful memories together. Their home is shared with Trout, a playful German Shorthaired Pointer mix with endless energy who loves to snuggle and meet new people. His spirited personality definitely keeps the whole family on their toes.

For Maddie, Habitat is more than a workplace. It is a community of people who genuinely care about one another and are united by a shared purpose. Helping lead the Habitat team is one of the most rewarding chapters of her career.
