Dr. Darrin Everett – DVM

Dr. Everett is the son of a small animal veterinarian and as a result, his love of animal medicine started very young. He grew up in his father’s practice having started working for him at age 14. His experiences in Veterinary medicine are varied and many and have shaped the Veterinarian he is today. He graduated from Ross University of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 and immediately started working in private practice in Boulder Colorado. He made the move to Boise in 2012 and has loved the transition since.

Dr. Everett joined the Habitat Veterinary Hospital staff in July of 2015 and has met some wonderful clients and their pets and looks forward to meeting and making more. As our DVM Mentorship Medical Director, he makes sure that incoming new and recent graduate veterinarians are supported as they start practicing medicine and encourages our more experienced veterinarians to develop their skill sets. His Veterinary interests include small animal medicine and surgery, including broadening his Orthopedic skills. He also has an interest in pocket pets, including furry, feathered, and scaly varieties. In his spare time, you can find him out with his dogs Matuzo, the Wire Hair Pointing Griffon, and Basseterre, his terrier mix hiking, biking, skiing, and in the summer, boating in his 1955 Chris Craft.
