Dr. Chad Dardis – DVM

Dr. Chad Dardis is an Idaho native who grew up in McCall and later spent time in Washington state for school before returning home to Idaho. His path into veterinary medicine began while working as an assistant in a 24/7 emergency hospital, where he discovered that helping animals and the people who love them was the perfect combination. After several years in emergency and specialty settings, he knew veterinary medicine was the career he wanted to pursue.

Dr. Dardis earned his veterinary degree from Washington State University, where he was actively involved in leadership and service. He served as Class President and worked as a mentor and ambassador for incoming students, roles that reflect his commitment to teamwork, communication, and community. Following graduation, he completed a rotating internship at West Vet in Boise, gaining advanced experience across emergency and critical care, surgery, internal medicine, anesthesiology, cardiology, radiology, and oncology.

Dr. Dardis has a strong interest in collaborative case management and developing thoughtful treatment plans that work for both pets and their families. He places a high value on clear communication and compassionate care, and he finds it especially rewarding to guide pet owners through medical decisions while supporting the human-animal bond. Helping pets feel better while ensuring their people feel informed and supported is at the heart of his approach to medicine.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Dardis enjoys camping, hiking, skiing, and reading. He shares his life with Dr. Bailey and their golden retrievers, Huckleberry and Cider, who he firmly believes are the best dogs in the world.
